∞

I unfolded it and put it on a glass table,
then I laid on the floor and watched it for hours,
but it didn’t change.

I put it next to my phone on my desk
so I could look at it from time to time
to see if it’s still there.

I held it in my hand while falling asleep,
yet when I woke up my hand was still closed,
and lay on my heart.

I folded it together as much as I could,
closed my eyes and threw it across the room,
but I still found it looking around just once.

Why won’t it leave me alone,
or at least let me understand?
